ramsgate beach foodie & artisans market.

Posted on 22nd Jun 2010 @ 1:22 PM

We've been attending the Ramsgate Beach Foodie & Artisans market held at the local Ramsgate Beach Public School over the past year or so, and we we're back there over the weekend. This market is cute and sits near the entry to the school grounds on Chuter Ave, on a big patch of green grass.

It has a pretty good range of food stalls so locals can come by and get a little bit of something for their weekend and week ahead, plus there's a couple of quality gift and art/craft stalls. Stalls include fresh produce (all the way from Camden), brasserie breads, fish, coffee/tea, hot food (bacon n egg rolls, hot pies, turkish gozlemes), fresh baked gluten free cakes/pastries/friands (made with real butter), delicious mudgee honey, plants, baby gifts, handmade jewellery, clothing, fresh/frozen pastas, free range eggs, olives, beef, saltbush lamb, olive oils and of course saucy jars of our relishes and other preserves. A few of the stallholders do change from week to week as the majority of the stallholders produce their own quality goods and have other markets to commit to (like us), which actually helps keep the market interesting for our visitors and customers!

We have built up a nice customer base who loyally purchase a jar or two of our relishes each month, and who generously tell all their friends about the market, and our relishes. Many thanks to our supporters and please do pop down to the market if you're a local, it is still a little unknown and the more people who come down and support it, the better it will grow!
